Several years ago we were approached by Carrie Neville of the Cleveland State Vikings to see if we could produce a customized replica basketball jersey. Carrie had ordered the jerseys in the past, but she was stuck using stock material colors and had limited options for customizing the jersey. She was looking for a better option.
In order to achieve the level of customization required to make these jerseys awesome, while maintaining the necessary price point, we knew we had to go overseas. We were able to find a factory that could dye the material to any PMS color and cut and sew the material into any pattern we wanted. After seeing the initial sample, we knew we had a great product on our hands.
Carrie mentioned that she used the jerseys as a group ticket incentive to help sell group basketball tickets (e.g. instead of getting a group ticket for $10/pc, you could get a group ticket for $15/pc and get a "FREE" jersey.) The perceived value of the jersey is at least $15 and the cost of the jersey is completely subsidized by the increased price of the group ticket. This brilliant plan has proved to be very successful at Cleveland State. Not only has Cleveland State sold more group tickets, but fans are also wearing the jerseys back to future games and around town.
Schools have found other ways to use the jerseys too. For example, Pepperdine wanted a "throwback" replica jersey to commemorate its 75th Anniversary and UW Green Bay wanted a pink replica jersey for women's basketball to promote breast cancer awareness. Schools have ordered replica football jerseys for Homecoming and included jerseys in the cost of student season ticket packages. For a little more than the cost of a colored t-shirt with a multi-color imprint on both sides, why not do something special and unique? Whether you are looking to generate revenue, increase ticket sales, sell sponsorships, increase brand awareness or enhance the campus life experience on your campus, our affordable custom replica jerseys have a proven track record of success.less <<
2014 Men's Final Four Seat Cushions
The 2014 Men's Final Four promised grandeur as it took place in North Texas at the iconic AT&T Stadium. The NCAA and their partners delivered an amazing experience and Synergy Imports was right in the middle of it. For the third year in a row Synergy Imports worked with Capital One and the NCAA to provide a seat cushions that was placed on every seat in the Stadium, 82,000 in all.
Due to the NFL's new stadium security policies the seat cushions needed to be placed for Monday's night's game. This meant we needed to coordinate a staggered delivery of eight semi trucks worth of the cushions between 7AM and 10AM Sunday morning. After careful planning and coordination, the delivery and installation execution went flawlessly and the stadium looked amazing!
Synergy also provided 200,000 clear stadium bags that were distributed to several hotels, pickup stations and the stadium in the week leading up to the semi final game. These bags helped ensure fans would be compliant with the new NFL stadium security policies.
In addition to the seat cushions and clear stadium bags, Synergy worked with Capital One to produce and place 86,000 lanyards and ticket holders into every cup holder in the stadium prior to Saturday's semi-final game.
Synergy's presence at the Final Four wasn't limited to in-stadium premiums. Our products were also on display at Bracket Town, having provided 31,000 Final Four headbands and 1,500 arms sleeves for LG. In all we flawlessly produced and delivered over 418,500 products for the Men's Final Four.less <<
Whatever It Takes: Final Four Bag Delivery
It was Friday night before the Men's Final Four semi-final games were set to take place and fans had gathered in Reunion Park for a concert and fireworks show. Around 10:30pm that night Synergy Imports received a call from the NCAA alerting them to a security breach at Reunion Park and their desire to have 10,000 clear stadium bags delivered to Reunion Park the next morning.
Getting several pallets of bags delivered from a suburban warehouse to a park in downtown Dallas on a Saturday morning, with no upfront warning seemed like a long shot. But we like to believe that if we partner with the right people, anything is possible. Turns out the odds were in our favor this time. After some late night and early morning phone calls, we had a plan in place by 8am Saturday morning to deliver all 10,000 bags to the park by 10AM. We treat your products and events like they were our own and we understand how important it is to go the extra mile. In the case of the park security breach, we passed with flying colors!
Michigan Under the Lights: Part II
On September 7, 2013 the University of Michigan pulled out all the stops for the second “Under the Lights” game at Michigan Stadium. The game included an attendance record, donor recognition, celebrity appearances and an amazing halftime show. Recognizing the importance of getting everyone involved early, the University of Michigan contacted Synergy Imports several months in advance to assist in the planning process. Michigan Athletics wanted Synergy's help in identifying a light up item for the fans and something to commemorate a thank Michigan alum, Mr. Stephen Ross, for his recently $200 million gift to the University.
With the goal of making this game production and donation recognition epic, a variety of concepts and product ideas were considered. In the end, it was decided that Synergy would produce 75,000 co-branded LED Bracelets for the fans. These bracelets helped facilitate fan engagement during the half-time show that featured a special video from the international icon, Beyonce. To help recognize and thank Mr. Ross for his contributions, Synergy produced a 50ft by 100ft flag that said "Thank you Steve" that was held up in the student section during the game. In addition, we produced commemorative medallions that were distributed in the President's Suite on gameday. With careful attention to budget, product quality and delivery, Synergy helped make this a memorable event for the entire University community.
Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation Donor Gifts
In 2012 the Texas A&M baseball program opened the season at the newly renovated $24 million, Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. Long before the park opened, significant fundraising efforts were underway by the 12th Man Foundation. Understanding the importance of recognizing donors for their much appreciated contributions, Synergy Imports was tasked by the 12th Man Foundation to identify donor gifts based on three donation levels. The 12th Man Foundation was looking for baseball-related product ideas that had a high perceived value, but also fit specific budget parameters for each of the three donation levels.
The first tier gift was a commemorative ticket placed in an acrylic ticket holder. The second tier gift was a logoed baseball in a personalized display case. The third tier gift was a full-size, authentic home plate with the stadium logo printed in the middle of the plate. The home plate was framed in a personalized display case. The donor gifts proved to be a huge success and something the recipients will value for years to come.
RUSH!!! Same-Day Wristbands
When the need for an incredibly fast product turn-around was needed, the University of Michigan knew who to call to get the job done…Synergy Imports. It was business as usual one Thursday morning when a call came in from the University. They were in need of 500 silicone wristbands and they needed them delivered the next day. We operate under the assumption that anything is possible, if you know the right people. After making a few phone calls we were able to commit to getting the 500 wristbands produced that afternoon and delivered to the University the following morning. But the story doesn't end there.
The following Friday afternoon, hours after the first shipment delivered, we received another call from the University indicating they would need 5,000 more wristbands…delivered Saturday morning. With only a few hours left in the day it seemed improbable, but not if you know the right people…A few minutes after receiving the call, we had all the details arranged to produce and deliver 5,000 additional wristbands Saturday morning. The execution of the entire process went flawlessly and the wristbands were delivered on time Saturday morning. The wristbands were a fundraiser for Chad Carr, the four year old grandson of former Michigan football coach, Lloyd Carr. Chad was diagnosed with an inoperable, malignant brain tumor. The support for Chad has been tremendous and we are all hoping and praying he pulls through. #ChadTough.
2012 NCAA® Men’s College World Series
Synergy Imports was charged with coming up with a unique gift for the 2012 Men’s College World Series VIPs. Having moved to the new TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in 2011, we sought to identify a gift that captured the beauty of the new stadium in a unique way. Having a 3D image of the Park laser engraved inside a three inch cube proved to be a “home run”. As a finishing touch, a printed “thank you” card was included inside the box and placed on top of the cube. These 3D crystal cubes proved to be one of the most well-received VIP gifts in recent years.
Synergy Imports also played an important role in other areas of the 2012 NCAA® Men’s College World Series. Another important milestone in the history of the CWS happened in 2012 when the 8 millionth fan walked through the gates. Synergy Imports developed a lapel pin to commemorate this milestone. The pin was attached to a printed card that provided more details on the milestone and thanked the fans for their continued support.
